Fixed Term Rent Policy Questionnaire 2019

3. What do you think the annual increase should be from April 2020?

Option 1:

4% would generate an additional income of £850,000 each year

This will provide:

  • 179 new homes (79 in Craighill and 100 in Tillydrone)
  • 38 kitchen upgrades
  •  50 bathroom upgrades

Option 2

5% would generate an additional income of £1.7m each year

This will provide all the benefits listed in Options 1, plus:

  • 232 new homes in Kincorth
  •  70 kitchen upgrades
  • 50 bathroom upgrades

Option 3

This option would be linked to RPI+1%, this is the Retail Price Index, which is a measure of inflation including housing costs.

RPI+1% means rent could vary each year and so would our income.

For example in July 2019 RPI+1% would equate to a 3.8% increase.
