Draft North Locality Plan 2021-2026

Overview

Community Planning Aberdeen (CPA) is the strategic partnership for public, private and third sector organisations working together and with communities to improve outcomes across the City. Our shared Aberdeen City Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) sets out a vision for Aberdeen as 'a place where all people can prosper' regardless of a person's background or circumstances.

This draft plan sets out how we will make this vision a reality for the North Locality of the City. The needs of people and communities vary across the City. This draft plan has been developed with local people living in the area to capture ideas for how we can recover and improve against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It complements the City Wide LOIP which is also out for consultation and you are encouraged to look at these plans together.

Why your views matter

In March 2021 we consulted the public on what is important to them through our online values simulator. The simulator asked citizens to allocate points to the improvement projects which they thought would make the greatest difference to the recovery of the City for people and communities.

This draft plan reflects our understanding of what is important to people and communities in the North Locality and what we believe to be our priorities for partnership working following the Covid-19 pandemic. Members of the community involved with the North Locality Empowerment Group and Wider Northfield Partnership have been engaged throughout the development process.

This consultation gives all citizens living or working in the North Locality the opportunity to comment on the draft plan before it is considered by the Community Planning Aberdeen Board on 7 July 2021.

What happens next

We will use your feedback to finalise our plan and take forward our improvement work. The Locality Plan is a high level document, so some detailed feedback might be more visable in how we are taking forward the ideas within the plan.
