Overview

An Accessibility Plan ensures that long-term planning meets the requirements of sections 1 to 3 of the Education (Disability Strategies and Pupils’ Educational Records) (Scotland) Act 2002.

Please find attached the draft Accessibility Plan.I would appreciate any  feedback on the focus of the plan and the areas targeted:

  • Access to the curriculum
  • Access to the physical environment
  • Access to communication

There may be other areas that Aberdeen City Council seek to improve, this plan highlights the key areas identified by stakeholders.

Why your views matter

To ensure objectives in the plan will meet the needs of children, young people, parents and carers in Aberdeen.

 

What happens next

Any comments will be fed back to the group and plan amended as appropriate.  Comments may also be shared with the service for further action or information  if required.
