Closed 14 Nov 2019

Opened 29 Jul 2019

Overview

We are running this survey for residents in Peterculter ahead of developing and trialling a sensor system for flood alerts.

Aberdeen City Council will use the data we collect to improve the products and services we offer our customers for flood monitoring and for reporting purposes. If you choose to provide personal information so that we can contact you, we will keep this information for the duration of the software trial. If change your mind and you decide you no longer wish to be informed about the software, please contact us on flooding@aberdeencity.gov.uk, and we will delete your contact details. We will keep the anonymous survey information for a longer period of time to evaluate our products and services.

You've got legal rights about the way the Council handles and uses your data. See our website for more information about your rights and details of our Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office. They are the body responsible for making sure organisations like the Council handle your data lawfully.

Wherever we process personal information we must have a basis for this in data protection law. We consider conducting this trial to be in line with our public task and flood risk management functions under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.
