Closed 3 May 2021

Opened 12 Apr 2021

Overview

Aberdeen City Council as the Roads Authority wish to seek the view of members of the public regarding various traffic management and developer proposals listed below. This is the statutory procedure set out in the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999.

Anyone wishing to object to any of the order contained in this document should send details of the order(s) they are objecting to and the grounds for objection, including their name and address by e-mail to trafficmanagement@aberdeencity.gov.uk during the statutory objection period which runs from 12th April, 2021 to 3rd May, 2021, inclusively.

Any person who submits an objection to a road traffic order should be aware that any objection made will be available to members of the Committee, available for inspection by members of the public, distributed to the press, and will form part of the agenda pack which is available on the Council’s website. To that extent, however, they are redacted, with names, addresses, telephone numbers and signatures removed from this correspondence.

Why your views matter

Consultation is a requirement for the processing of Traffic Regulation Order under the “The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999”. Carrying out consultation allow members of the public and representatives of businesses, organisations etc. to view proposed Traffic Regulation Orders and gives them the opportunity to send us their comment and possible objection before the orders are made.

What happens next

Proposals for Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) which have recieved no objections will be made under delegated powers and the associated works will be instructed.

However, proposals for TROs which have recieved objections will be reported to a relevant council commitee where a decision will be made whether or not to progress with making the TRO.
