Overview

The Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP)  commissioned Community Mental Health Interventions are provided to meet presenting mental health needs for the citizens of Aberdeen. The directly commissioned service by ACHSCP contract is due to end in March 2024, the services are:-

  1. Well Aberdeen
  2. Nova
  3. First Response
  4. Distress Brief Interventions (DBI) - pilot funded by Scottish Government. 

The commissioned services are provided to support to de-medicalised interventions such as the wellbeing Practioners, CCL Listening Services, links practitioners and relieving pressure and increase capacity to medicalised treatments and therapies aligned with medical professionals such as GPs, Primary Care Psychology Service, Psychological wellbeing Practioners, Clinical Applied psychology.

Why your views matter

The Community Mental Health Interventions Service contract ends in March 2024, the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP) would like to engage with the mental health service providers, mental health practitioners and professionals Aberdeen on how the service provision has been during this contract and what the future service should look like.

After the review we will engage in Collaborative commissioning for new contract of ACHSCP  commissioned service of Community Mental Health Interventions.

What happens next

Engagement events at Aberdeen Health Village, 50 Frederick Street , AB24 5HY and surveys by email and post we will publish finding and report on the model of Community Mental Health Interventions service the citizens of Aberdeen have approved.
