Draft Community Empowerment Strategy
Overview
Community Planning Aberdeen (CPA) is the strategic partnership for public, private and third sector organisations working together and with communities to improve outcomes across the City. Our shared Aberdeen City Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) sets out a vision for Aberdeen as 'a place where all people can prosper' regardless of a person's background or circumstances.
To achieve this vision, we need an active and inclusive citizenship where all people have a voice and ability to influence what happens to them and their community. This Community Empowerment Strategy has been developed to complement and sit alongside the LOIP. The ambition of the Community Empowerment Strategy is for all communities across Aberdeen to be equal community planning partners in realising this vision. This means understanding and addressing the power inequalities which exist across the City.
What happens next
We will use your feedback to finalise the strategy and take forward our improvement projects. The Strategy is a high level document, so some detailed feedback might be more visable when we are taking forward the improvement projects.
