Draft Greenferns Development Framework

Overview

The Greenferns Development Framework was previously Supplementary Guidance under the Aberdeen Local Development Plan 2012.

This is a statutory consultation for a 6 week period on the revised document which has been updated to reflect changes to circumstance and policy.

There are 5 main changes that have been made to this Development Framework since that previously adopted:

• Provision of land for Enermech (industrial land) to remain in current site around Bucksburn House and land for future expansion.
• Inclusion of the new school site, off Howes Road within the layout.
• Inclusion of non-residential land uses within the neighbourhood centre.
• Review of the location of the proposed neighbourhood centre within the layout.
• Review of the proposed densities and phasing strategy.

Why your views matter

This 6 week consultation is taking place to gauge public opinion the Greenferns Development Framework. This will help inform the layout of the site and network of streets and spaces.

What happens next

Once the consultation ends, any comments received will be summarised, responded to and reported back to the next available Council meeting.  The recommendation to Council will be to approve the Greenferns Development Framework as Supplementary Guidance.
