Local Development Plan - Pre-Main Issues Report Bid Form

Closed 28 May 2018

Opened 19 Mar 2018

Overview

Aberdeen City Council is currently in the early stages of reviewing the Aberdeen Local Development Plan 2017 (ALDP). The 2018 Development Plan Scheme provides a timetable for the review of the ALDP and the opportunities to participate throughout the process.

If you wish a paper copy of the Bid form, please either download it from our Aberdeen Local Develoment Plan Review web page or contact the local development plan team using the details to the right.

The Strategic Development Plan (SDP) review is currently at its Main Issues Report (MIR) stage and therefore does not have a settled position in terms of proposed housing allocations. While these numbers are still to be determined, given the number of large allocations across Aberdeen City it is the intention of the council to focus on smaller sites.  We would therefore particularly welcome proposals for greenfield or brownfield sites up to 100 units.  We are also  keen to identify new brownfield sites for housing or for other uses.

Why your views matter

This bid forms are part of the pre-Main Issues Report consultation activities we are undertaking. Please use it to provide details of the site that you wish to have included in the Main Issues Report for consideration as proposal in the next Aberdeen Local Development Plan.

One of the purposes of this form is to inform a public debate on the merits of the different sites being proposed.  All information submitted will therefore be made available to the public  to promote a transparent and open process.

Please feel free to provide any further information you feel appropriate to support your submission.  The City Council has produced a Sustainability Checklist which provides guidance on the issues which will be used to help us judge the merits of competing development options.
