Spectra Hidden Butterfly Trail

Closed 12 Feb 2024

Opened 7 Feb 2024

Overview

As part of Aberdeen’s renowned Spectra Light Festival, we invite you to take part in the free Hidden Butterfly Trail, an exciting addition to this year’s event.

In collaboration with local businesses, LED butterflies inspired by one of the exciting art installations, have gracefully landed in the windows of 10 businesses and we need your help to find them!

To take part in the adventure, participants are invited to use the online form which can be found below. Here you can also find additional details as well as clues to help you in the butterfly quest.

The grand prize? Locate all 10 butterflies and complete the online form to be entered into the prize draw to win one of two £250 vouchers for a local bike shop, and help us in our commitment to encourage active and sustainable travel choices.

For those unable to access the online form, paper copies can be found at the accessibility welcome desks located in the Town House and the Central Library, but we encourage participants to use the online version to help reduce paper waste and ensure an eco-friendly experience.

All online forms must be submitted by 12 noon on Monday 12 February to be entered into the prize draw. Any paper copies must be handed into the accessibility welcome desks by 9pm on Sunday 11 February.

What happens next

If you have correctly identified the 10 shops you will be entered into the prize draw to win a £250 voucher for a local cycling shop. There are two vouchers to be won and winners will be drawn at random. If you are successful, you will be contacted using the information provided.
